2013 Mercedes Antos teased. Debuts in September

Mercedes has released the first teaser images of the Antos, ahead of its debut at the Commercial Vehicle IAA in September.

Designed specifically for heavy-duty short-radius distribution, the Antos will be offered with 67 wheelbases that have axle spacing ranging from 2650mm to 6700mm. As you can imagine, a number of different variants will be available including the Antos Loader (built for hauling heavy cargo) and Antos Volumer (built for maximum cargo capacity).

The cab measures 2.3 meters (7.5 feet) wide and will be offered in two lengths: short and medium. There's no word on additional specifications, but the interior sketch reveals the cabin will have a wraparound instrument cluster and a wide center console.

Under the hood, 13 different engines will be available. They will produce 238 PS (175 kW / 235 hp) to 510 PS (375 kW / 503 hp) and be connected to a PowerShift transmission.
